WAG WALK
WINNERS
The sun was shining and it was smiles all round as the winners of
the Stubbington Ark Wag Walk
and Hayling Island Wag Walk met at the shelter to collect their
prizes.
Pauline Carney from Portsmouth together with her dog Patch and Tara
Bailey from Hayling Island
and her dogs Kia and Mika helped raise the grand total of
£3,075.21. The money raised was as a
result of two sponsored Wag Walks held in April and May.
Both winners receive a Wag Walk Shield, individual dog trophies for
their dogs plus a bag of
doggy treats.
Dinner for two kindly donated by The Crofton, Fareham and Banana Wharf,
Hamble were generously donated back to the shelter by Pauline
and Tara.
TWINS DONATE BIRTHDAY
MONEY
To celebrate their recent birthday, eleven year old
twins Samantha and Holly Fagan from Christchurch
decided to ask for donations to the shelter instead of receiving
presents.
Samantha and Holly's grandma rescued her dog from the Ark which
gave the twins the idea to say
thank you.
Both girls held a pool party at their local recreation centre and
were amazed when donations totalled
a massive £235.00.
Vanessa Eden, Head of Fundraising at the Ark said "I feel very
humbled by Holly and Samantha's
kind gesture. To think how many toys and gadgets their
donation would have brought them and they decided to give it away
to the charity."
