There are always dozens of dogs in the shelter looking for a second chance and a loving home, so it is  impossible to show them all. 

Below are some of the dogs that have been here a long time but are fairly representative of the breeds and ages that are always here.

 

You may not find the dog for you straight away, as dogs are often brought into us because they don't like other dogs, can't be homed with cats, don't like children, need an extremely active home or are very strong and independent.
Please visit the shelter to meet more dogs and please do keep visiting us, as you just never know when the dog for you may turn up!

Other information Rupert is a skittish boy and can be highly strung and nervy. he is extremely worried by over exuberant greetings by people, especially men and will require gentle introductions to new things. Rupert needs a quiet home where he can earn to adjust. He will need a safe place to run and let off steam.

Other information Shen is subdued in kennels and doesn't show her true self. She is sensitive and insecure from being passed around and can form over attachments to people, especially females. Shen is playful and bouncy and easily stressed. She requires a set exercise routine and a gradual  exposure to being alone, preferably at set times. Patient, determined owners required.
