You have the right to make a complaint about the RSPCA Solent Branch or any aspect of RSPCA care, treatment or service, and this is firmly written into the Branch’s policies and procedures.
The information on this page will help guide you through the Branch’s complaint handling procedure.
We encourage feedback in order to improve our service. If you wish to share your views and experiences, positive or negative, simply speak to a member of staff.
Complaints should be made in writing either by email or in writing to the following members of Branch Management:
For Animal Centre Complaints:

You should expect an acknowledgement within 3-5 working days of receiving your complaint.
If the complaint is directly regarding The Animal Centre Manager or Business & Income Generation Manager this will need to be directed to the Branch Support Specialist (BSS) by sending a letter marked “Private & Confidential and for the attention of the Branch Support Specialist”. These complaints will take longer to acknowledge as this will involve forwarding the document on.
Once received a full investigation of the complaint will be conducted. The findings of the investigation and a resolve for the initial complaint shall be given either by email or in writing (depending on how the complaint was received) within 28 days.
If your problem persists or you're not happy with the way your complaint has been dealt with locally, you can escalate your complaint to the Branch Support Specialist (BSS).
