Support Us
There are usually more than 600 animals on
site at any one time and we have to raise over
£3,000 per
day to keep the shelter running. Please
help us to help local animals in need. There are lots of different
ways in which you can support our work. The following pages will
give you some ideas.
- Safe
Haven

For around the cost of a Sunday newspaper
each week, you can sponsor a dog kennel, cat cabin or small animal
unit and help give the animals in the care of the Stubbington Ark
the chance of a better future.
- Donation

If you would simply like to make a
one off donation, please make your cheque/postal order payable to
RSPCA Solent Branch and send it to the address below or Why not donate on-line right now
while you are still thinking of us.
- Sponsor an event

or Organise your Own. Create a Web Page,
Get Sponsors, Raise Money for the Stubbington Ark.
If you would like to donate a
regular sum, please fill in and send us the standing order
form.
- Leave a legacy in your
will
If you would like to remember the
animals in your Will and want to specifically help the Stubbington
Ark, please ensure that your Will states that the bequest is for
the RSPCA Solent Branch (Stubbington Ark) - Registered Charity
205096
If you can spare some of your time, please
telephone Vanessa Eden on 01329 666916 / 07880 926751 or

If you want to work with the animals, please
telephone the above number for a volunteer application form or
collect one from the Shelter's reception. We must arrange a health
and safety day for a group of volunteers before you can help with
the animals. Volunteers must be age 16 or
over.
Please be aware that volunteering
jobs with animals is very popular so do not be surprised if you are
put on a six month waiting list.
You can buy items on-line from our
ebay
shop or visit the Stubbington Ark Charity shop in
West Street, Fareham.
Please donate your bric-a-brac,
small items of furniture, toys and books. To have your items
collected please telephone the shop on 01329 285949
Before anyone is given approval to adopt an
animal, a home visit is made to ensure that the
environment/situation will be right for the chosen animal. If you
would like to become a Home Visitor telephone the Fundraising
Department for a form.

We are always in need of blankets, duvet covers,
pillowcases and towels (sorry, no DUVETS or PILLOWS)
which we will use for bedding for the animals.
We always need newspapers for use in cleaning the animal
accommodation. Excess newspapers can be sold for a small sum which
is again used in running the shelter. So we can never have too much
newspaper and any amount you can deliver to us will help
tremendously.
We also collect used printer cartridges, mobile
phones, used postage stamps, foreign
currency and broken costume/semi precious
jewellery.
Donations of pet food is always welcome. Sainsbury
Supermarket in Broadcut, Fareham and Shirley, Southampton collect
food donations for us in store, so if you regularly shop there,
look out for the trolley.
We sell food, toys, beds and many other goods for your pets in
our reception foyer. All the profit made from selling these
items is put towards running the shelter. So every time you buy
from us, you are helping the animals.
Encourage every one you know to have their cats and dogs
neutered. This will reduce the numbers of unwanted animals coming
into the shelter in the first place.

If you know of anyone looking for an animal,
please ask them to visit us to see if they can give a needy animal
a good and loving home.
