Volunteering for RSPCA Solent Branch is one enjoyable way of
helping animal welfare.
What will I gain from volunteering?
|
Volunteering for RSPCA Solent Branch
is a great way to meet like-minded people and to be involved with a
group of individuals who share the same enthusiasm as you for
animal welfare. Being a volunteer will enable you to gain new
skills or develop existing ones and can provide you with an
opportunity to make a real difference.
What can I do?
Most volunteering activities for us
do not involve practical animal care, although there are some
opportunities to get involved in dog socialising, cat socialising
etc. All roles influence animal welfare significantly and due
to the number of activities our charity is involved
in, we need people with a wide range of skills.
Depending on the time you have
available and your own interests, there are many ways in which you
can help. When you become a volunteer you will be provided with an
induction into RSPCA Solent Branch and any training that may be
needed for the role. As a
volunteer you can gain important transferable skills in
fundraising, campaigning, finance, team building, animal care,
management, computers, administration etc., the list is
endless!
We are always looking for volunteers
to help at the Stubbington Ark, the RSPCA Veterinary Clinic and
Swaythling Centre in Southampton and at the Charity Shop in
Fareham, too.
Please note that under our Health
& Safety Policy we can only accept volunteers aged 16 and
over.
