Kiosk Staff (VOLUNTARY)
Description:
The kiosk at the Stubbington Ark will be open during the summer
holidays, weather permitting. We will be selling hot and cold
drinks
and biscuits and crisps to the general public.
The Role: (office based)
The Kiosk Staff role will involve:-
Skills:
The role is very highly pressurised with the weekends being the
busiest time. You will need to remain calm and have a good
sense of humour. You will need to be used to dealing with people
and confident in your approach. You will also be good at handling
money, as the role will involve some degree of mental arithmetic

About Us:
Moved to Stubbington, Fareham in 1987. Open 7 days a week –
10am-4pm. Although we are part of the RSPCA, we receive no
funding from them and we are totally self-funded. We provide
shelter for all manner of domestic animals, wildlife and exotics
within an area covering
400 miles. We have more than 500 animals on site at any one time.
RSPCA Solent Branch also runs a Veterinary Clinic in Southampton,
providing subsidised veterinary treatments for pets whose owners
are on reduced incomes. The Stubbington Ark has to raise just over
£3,000 per day to account for vet bills, food, heating, maintenance
of our 8 acre site, cleaning supplies and staff wages which are
just a
few of the expenses that we can only pay through the generosity of
the general public. |
