Driver

Help transport foodstuffs, bedding, paper, charity shop goods & some animal transfers.

Drivers are required to transport foodstuffs from supermarkets and foodstuffs/bedding and bric-a-brac from individual donors, collecting tins to/from individuals and shops and newsletters etc. Also transferring of shredded paper to recycling company.

The Role

The Driver’s role will involve: - Receiving contact details from supermarkets and individual donors via the Fundraising Department - Distributing charity shops goods between locations - You will use the Fundraising Van (Citroen Berlingo Manual) to collect and return to the Shelter during opening hours.

Skills

  • Full clean driving licence.
  • Friendly, confident approach to people.
  • Good communication skills.

Hours

Commitment will be required throughout the year on an ad hoc basis using a list of designated drivers.

Who

This role would suit someone who is aged 25 or over, likes driving and is used to carrying heavy loads and cannot commit to regular hours.
